Plug & Play FeatureThe first time you turn on your new TV, choose your basic settings for language, input source and channels, and time of dayusing the plug & play feature. The TV will store these settings in memory. Storing the channels in memory will allow you toscan the stored channels rather than have to enter their digits each time you want to change channels.The Screen Saver is activated if there is no remote control key input for longer than 1 minute while Plug & Play is running.NThe Screen Saver is activated if there is no operating signal for longer than 15 minutes.N1. Press the POWER button on the remote control.Select Language of the OSD menu is automatically displayed. Select the appropriatelanguage by pressing the ▲ or ▼ button. Press the ENTERE button to confirm yourchoice.2. Press the ◄ or ► button to select Store Demo or Home Use, then press theENTERE button.We recommend setting the TV toN Home Use mode for the best picture in your homeenvironment.Store DemoN mode is only intended for use in retail environments.If the unit is accidentally set toN Store Demo mode and you want to return to HomeUse (Standard): Press the Volume button on the TV. When the volume OSD isdisplayed, press and hold the MENU button on the TV for 5 seconds.3. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select the Antenna source to memorize. Press theENTERE button to select Start.Air• : Air antenna signal.Cable• : Cable antenna signal.Auto• : Air and Cable antenna signals.InN Cable mode, you can select the correct signal source among STD, HRC, andIRC by pressing the ▲, ▼, ◄ or ► button, then press the ENTERE button. Ifyou have Digital cable, select the cable system signal source for both Analog andDigital. Contact your local cable company to identify the type of cable system thatexists in your particular area.4. The TV will begin memorizing all of the available channels.To stop the search before it has finished, press theN ENTERE button with Stopselected.After all the available channels are stored, it starts to remove scrambled channels. The Auto program menu then reappears.NPress the ENTERE button when channel memorization is complete.5. The message Set the Clock Mode. is displayed. Press the ENTERE button.Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Auto, then Press the ENTERE button. The message Set to daylight saving time. is displayed.If you select Manual, Set current date and time is displayed. For detailed descriptions about the Manual, refer to page 36.6. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Off, On, or Auto, then press the ENTERE button.The image to select time zone in which you live is automatically displayed.7. Press the ▲ or ▼ button to Select the time zone, then press the ENTERE button.If you have received a digital signal, the time will be set automatically. If not, see page 36 to set the clock.8. The brief instruction on How to get the best performance from your new HDTV is displayed.Press the ENTERE button.You can change to the previous or next page by pressing the ◄ or ► button.NYou can access theN HD Connection Guide in the Support menu.9.
