English - 4Listening through a ReceiverYou can listen to sound through a receiver instead of the TVspeaker.1 Press the TOOLS button.Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Receiver, then press theENTER button. Press the ◄ or ► button to select to On, then press theENTER button.Now you can listen to sound through the receiver. Press the EXIT button to exit.➢ When the receiver (home theater) is set to On, you can hearsound output from the TV’s Optical jack. When the TV isdisplaying a DTV(air) signal, the TV will send out 5.1 channelsound to the Home theater receiver. When the source is adigital component such as a DVD and is connected to the TVvia HDMI, only 2 channel sound will be heard from the Home Theater receiver.➢ If your receiver supports audio only, it may not appear in the device list.➢ The receiver will work when you have properly connected the Optical IN jack of the receiver to the OpticalOut jack of the TV.➢ When listening through the receiver, there are restrictions for using the audio-related(MTS, Preferredlanguage) menus.➢ If there is a power interruption to the TV when the Receiver is On (by disconnecting the power cord or apower failure), the TV Speaker may be set to Off when you turn the TV on again.Check Points before Requesting ServiceSymptom SolutionAnynet+ does not work. ■ Check if the device is an Anynet+ device.
