55Setup54 SetupAnswer Mode Menu 7-4This menu option allows you to select an answer mode whenan incoming call comes. It is preset to By Opening.The following options are available:By Opening: The phone answers when you open the folder.By Any Key Ans: The phone answers when you press anykey except key.By Send: The phone answers when you press key.Tone Length Menu 7-5Some phones you call can recognize only longer tones. Youmay have to change the length to LONG for some calls. Whencalling a paging system, your phone should be in the SHORTmode.Tone Menu 7-6Release Tone: You can set your phone to sound the releasetone when a call is disconnected or dropped.Connect Tone: You can set your phone to sound the connecttone when your call is connected to thesystem.Set Time Menu 7-7The option enables you to set the current date and time. Enterthe time and date.The current time, if set, displays. The month, day, hour andminute must be entered with 2 digits. The year requires allfour digits. If you do not input the time or you input the wrongtime, Invalid Time displays.In Data/Fax Menu 7-8To send or receive data or fax through the phone, you have toset this option to Incoming Data Only or Incoming FaxOnly. When you want to use the phone for a normal voicecall, set to Off: Voice Call Only.The following options are available:Off: Voice Call Only: receives a call.Incoming Data Only: receives or sends data.Incoming Fax Only: receives or sends fax.Analog Call Menu 7-9Your phone is preset to Digital mode. If you want to place acall in Analog mode, use this menu. But if your systemsupplier does not provide AMPS service, this feature isunavailable.If you end the Analog call, your phone returns to Digital modeautomatically.
