Enter the phone number of the service you want tocall, such as a bank’s teleservice phone number.2. Press to enter a hard pause. The phonedisplays a “p” indicating a hard pause.3. Enter the number to be sent after the pause andthen press to dial the first number.4. After connecting, press again at the prompt totransmit the additional number.Storing Pauses in a Phonebook EntryTo store a number in your phonebook that containspauses:1. Enter the phone number you want to store, such asthe bank’s teleservice phone number.2. Press . A “p” displays, indicating a hard pause.3. Enter the digits that need to follow the pause,such as your account number.4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more pauses andnumbers, if necessary.5. Store the number in your phonebook as younormally would by pressing and followingfrom step 2 on page 26.Pause Dialing from a Stored Phonebook Entry1. Dial the number of the service from thephonebook.2. Wait for the appropriate prompt from the systemyou are calling.3. When prompted, press to send the DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) number that followsyour hard pause.“SENDING DTMF” flashes on the display and thetransmitted tone sounds.4. Repeat step 2, if necessary.Manual Pause Dialing from a Stored PhonebookEntryIf you have saved numbers, such as your accountnumber or password, you can send the number fromthe phonebook during a call.1.
