Voice signal commands 141Call a name or numberThe Call command lets you dial a person by saying the nameyou’ve stored for that person in your contact list or by sayingthe telephone number’s digits, even if you have not saved thenumber in contacts.Voice dialing tips• Voice dialing works best in quieter environments.• When pronouncing a name or number, speak at anormal speed, and there is no need to pause betweendigits.• The phone recognizes the digits one, two, three, four,five, six, seven, eight, nine, zero, and oh (zero). Itdoesn’t recognize numbers such as “one eight hundred”for “1-800.” Instead, say “one eight zero zero,” or “oneeight oh oh.”• The phone recognizes only valid seven or ten-digit NorthAmerican phone numbers, optionally preceded by thedigit “1.”• If you are experiencing frequent problems with VoiceDial recognizing your commands, try adapting it to yourvoice, which greatly improves its accuracy.
