Messaging 29Messaging• To type a message, use your keypad to enter text. Use the rightsoftkey to select a character input mode.• To use pre-written messages, press the right softkey for Optionsand select Preset Msg. Press the corresponding number on thekeypad to enter the preset message response.3. Press the left softkey for Next when finished.4. Press the left softkey to Send.To erase messages:1. Activate the main menu, highlight the Messaging menu, and press .2. Select Inbox.3. Press the right softkey , followed by:• Erase: Using the navigation keys select Erase This to delete thecurrently highlighted message, Erase Read to delete all readmessages, or Erase All to delete all messages in your Inbox andpress .• Erase Multiple: Scroll through your list of messages and pressto check or uncheck messages you want to erase. When you arefinished, press the left softkey for Erase.VoicemailAll unanswered calls to your phone are automatically transferred to your Voicemail,even if your phone is in use or turned off. However, you are only notified of newmessages when your phone is turned on and you are in a Service Area.To set up your Voicemail:1. Press and hold on your phone’s keypad.2. Follow the system prompts to create your passcode, record yourgreeting, and record your name announcement.To call your Voicemail:• Press and hold on your phone’s keypad.To display your Missed Calls:• Press , highlight the Call History menu, press , and select MissedCalls.Important: When you are roaming off the network, you may not receive notificationof new Voicemail messages.
