85Section 12: Using the ApplicationsThe on-board applications (such as camera, camcorder, calendar, andalarms) can be supplemented with additional applications which canbe purchased via the AT&T Mall. At the Idle screen, select Menu ➔ My Stuff ➔ Applications and pressthe Select soft key or the key.Shop Applications1. At the Idle screen, select Menu ➔ My Stuff ➔ Applicationsand press the Select soft key or the key.2. Using the navigation keys, select Shop Applications. Formore information, refer to “Shop Applications” on page 85.Using the CameraTaking PhotosNote: When taking a photo in direct sunlight or in bright conditions, shadows may appearon the photo.1. At the Idle screen, select Menu ➔ My Stuff ➔ Applicationsand press the Select soft key or the key. Or you canpress and hold the Camera key on the right of the handset.2. Using the navigation keys, select Camera and press thekey.3. Before taking the photo, press the Menu soft key to accesscamera options accessed from icons above the viewfinderdisplay.4. Adjust the image by aiming the camera at the subject.5. Press the key to take the photo.6. Once the photo is taken, press the key to attach thephoto to a message.Note: Your camera produces photos in JPEG format. The number that displays in thelower-left of the screen indicates the current number of pictures that were saved tothe selected media and an approximate number of total pictures which can betaken at the current image size.The maximum size of a photo taken with the camera on any setting is within thelimits that can be sent in a Multimedia Message.7. Press the Back soft key to return to the picture viewer.You can use the keypad to quickly change the camera options usingthe camera shortcut keys.
