Entering text48Using T9 modeT9 is a predictive text input mode that allows you tokey in any character using single keystrokes. Thistext input mode is based on a built-in dictionary.To enter a word in T9 mode:1. When you are in T9 mode, start entering a wordby pressing the keys 2 to 9. Press each key onlyonce for each letter.Example: To enter “Hello” in T9 mode,press the 4, 3, 5, 5, and 6 keys.The word that you are typing appears on thedisplay. It may change with each key that youpress.2. Enter the whole word before editing or deletingthe keystrokes.3. When the word displays correctly, go to step 4.If the word doesn’t display correctly, press the 0key or the Up or Down key repeatedly to displayalternative word choices for the keys that youhave pressed.Example: Both “Of” and “Me” use the 6 and 3keys. The phone displays the mostcommonly used choice first.4. Put a space by pressing the key and startentering the next word.
