Call functions33Using In-call optionsPress <Options> to access the following optionsduring a call:• Voice clarity on/Voice clarity off: removeextraneous noise and increases call quality so thatthe person with whom you are speaking can hearyou clearly even if you are in a noise place.• Mute/Unmute: switch off the phone's microphoneso that the other person on the phone cannot hearyou, or switch it back on.• Mute keys/Send keys: switch the key tones offor on.• Phonebook: access the contact list.• Send DTMF: send the DTMF (Dual tone multi-frequency) tones as a group. The DTMF tones arethe tones used in phones for tone dialling,sounding when you press the number keys. Thisoption is helpful for entering a password or anaccount number when you call an automatedsystem, like a banking service.• Message: create a new SMS message or accessthe messages in the Inbox.• Join: set up a multi-party call by adding a calleron hold to a currently active call. You can includeup to five people on a multi-party call.• Split: have a private conversation with one multi-party call participant. The other participants canconverse with each other. After the privateconversation, select Join to return both all privateparticipants to the multi-party call.• Transfer: transfer the currently active call to acaller on hold. The two callers can talk to eachother but you are disconnected from the call.To communicate with answering machines orcomputerised telephone systems, Send keysmust be selected.
