Understanding Your Phone 13BacklightA backlight illuminates the display and the keypad when you press any key. It turnsoff when no keys are pressed within a given period of time, and/or dims the light,depending on the settings in the Settings ➔ Display ➔ Light menu.Appears when the Normal Profile (default) is active.Press and hold the Space key to toggle betweenNormal mode and Silent mode. You can edit these Normalprofile settings.Appears when the Silent Profile is set. In Silent mode,your phone displays information, but the speaker ismuted and the phone vibrates to alert you. You can editthese Silent profile settings.Appears when the Profile is set to Driving. In Drivingmode, the speaker is active and launches the currentlyselected ringtone or melody when the associatednotification is activated. This icon is accompanied onscreen by the Audio icon. You can edit these Drivingprofile settings.Appears when the Profile is set to Outdoor. In this case,the speaker is active, the vo lume settings are raised totheir highest levels, any currently active ringtones ormelodies are activated, and the phone’s vibrate featureis activated. You can edit these Outdoor profile settings.
