54About the WAPBrowserYour phone comes equipped with a WAP(Wireless Application Protocol) browser, makingit possible for you to access the wireless web.The WAP browser allows you to:• access up-to-the-minute information via yourphone.• view specially designed text versions ofpopular Internet sites including Yahoo!®, CNNMobile SM and the Weather Channel®.Browsing the wireless web using your phone isunlike using your computer, in that site providershave:• selected only the critical aspects of their sitefor wireless phone users.• removed most graphics.Each time you start the WAP Browser, the phoneconnects to the Wireless Web and the serviceindicator icon ( or ) appears on the displayto inform you that you are:• connected to the Wireless Web.• will be billed accordingly. The rates varyaccording to your service option.The WAP browser ends the network connectionafter a certain period of inactivity andautomatically reconnects as necessary. For thisreason, you may find that you are billed forseveral network connections within a singlesession.
