Understanding Your Phonebook 94Dialing a Number from the SIM Card4. Enter a name for your contact into the Name field. A SIM card entry onlyhas one available name field. Press the Down key to tab to the next textbox.For further details about how to enter characters, see "Using ABC Mode"on page 56.5. Use the keypad to enter a number into the contact Phone Number field.6. Press the Save soft key or the key. The number saves in your SIMcard.After storing, the phone displays the Phonebook entry you just created.7. To use the entry options before saving the number, highlight the Namefield and press the Options soft key.The following options are available:• Edit: allows you to edit the name and number fields in the entry.• Send message: allows you to send a Text or Picture message, or send a Voicenote to the recipient.• Call: allows you to call the newly created recipient.• Copy to Phone: allows you to copy the selected contact information or multiplecontacts’ information from the SIM to the phone.• Send name card via: allows you to send your name card as an attachment to aText or Picture message.• Assign speed dial: allows you to assign the newly created SIM entry to a speeddial location.• Delete: allows you to delete the name and number from the SIM card. You areasked to confirm the name and number deletion by pressing the Yes soft key. Tocancel, press the No soft key.8. Press the key to return to the Idle mode.Dialing a Number from the SIM Card1. In Idle mode, press and hold the keypad corresponding to the speed diallocation number for the desired phone number you want to dial.2. If you don’t know the location number, press and the firstlocation number displays.You can then press the Left or Right key to find other numbers in the list.3. Press either the Dial soft key, the key, or the key once you selectthe number you want to dial.
