4About theWAP BrowserYour phone comes equipped with a WAP (WirelessApplication Protocol) browser, making it possible foryou to access the Wireless Web.The WAP Browser allows you to:• access up-to-the-minute information via yourphone• view specially designed text versions of popularInternet sites including Yahoo!® , CNN MobileSMand the Weather Channel®Browsing the Wireless Web using your phone isunlike using your computer, in that site providershave:• selected only the critical aspects of their site forwireless phone users• removed most graphicsEach time you start the WAP Browser, the phoneconnects to the Wireless Web and the serviceindicator icon ( ) appears on the display to informyou that you are:• are connected to the Wireless Web• will be billed accordingly (rates vary according toyour service option)The WAP Browser ends the network connectionafter a certain period of inactivity and automaticallyreconnects as necessary. For this reason, you mayfind that you are billed for several networkconnections within a single session.
