Enter textABC, T9, Number, and Symbol modeYou can enter text for some features such asMessages, Phonebook, or Organiser, using ABCmode, T9 mode, Number mode, and Symbol mode.Changing the text input modeThe text input mode indicator displays when thecursor is in a text input field.• Press and hold [ ] to switch between T9 ( )and ABC ( ) modes.• Press [ ] to change case ( / / ) orto switch to Number mode ( ).• Press and hold [ ] to switch to Symbol mode( ).2. Enter the whole word before editing or deletingcharacters.3. When the word displays correctly, go to step 4.Otherwise, press [0] to display alternative wordchoices for the keys that you have pressed.For example, Of and Me use [6] and [3].4. Press [ ] to insert a space and enter the nextword.Tips for using T9 mode• Press [1] to enter periods or apostrophesautomatically.• Press [Left] or [Right] to move the cursor.• Press [C] to delete characters one by one.
