Settings133If you select Options → Advanced settings, you can set thefollowing options:• Network type: Change a network type to either IPv6 orIPv4.• Phone IP address (IPv4): Enter the IP address of yourphone.• DNS address: For IPv4, enter the DNS (Domain NameServer) addresses.• Proxy server address: Enter the IP address of the proxyserver.• Proxy port number: Enter the port number of the proxyserver.Note: If you need to change the settings above, contact yourInternet service provider to obtain these parameters.Packet dataThe packet data settings affect all access points using a packetdata connection.• Packet data connecti...: If you select When availableand you are in a network that supports packet data, thephone registers to the GPRS network, starting an activepacket data connection, for example, to send and receiveemail, is quicker.If you select When needed, the phone uses a packet dataconnection only if you start an application or action thatneeds it. The GPRS connection is closed once it is not usedby any application.Note: If there is no GPRS coverage and you have chosenWhen available, the phone periodically tries toestablish a packet data connection.
