5Inserting and Removing the SIM cardImportant!: The plug-in SIM card and its contacts can be easily damaged byscratches or bending. Use caution when inserting or removingthe card, and keep all SIM cards out of the reach of children. Make sure the gold contacts of the card are face down, thenslide the SIM card into the socket.Installing the Battery1. Align the battery tabs with the slots at the bottom of thephone.2. Press the battery down until it clicks into place.3. With the battery in position on the phone, place the coverback on the handset and slide it in until it clicks.Important!: Make sure that the battery is properly installed before switchingon the phone.Charging a BatteryYour phone is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery. Use thetravel adaptor to charge the battery, and use only Samsungapproved batteries and chargers.Note: You must fully charge the battery before using your phone for the firsttime. A fully discharged battery requires up to 4 hours of charge time.
