Getting started14Charging the batteryUse the charger to charge the battery before using it for the first time. A computer can be alsoused to charge the battery by connecting them via the USB cable.Use only Samsung-approved chargers, batteries, and cables. Unapproved chargers orcables can cause the battery to explode or damage the device.• When the battery power is low, the battery icon appears empty.• If the battery is completely discharged, the device cannot be turned onimmediately when the charger is connected. Allow a depleted battery to charge fora few minutes before turning on the device.• If you use multiple apps at once, network apps, or apps that need a connectionto another device, the battery will drain quickly. To avoid disconnecting from thenetwork or losing power during a data transfer, always use these apps after fullycharging the battery.1 Plug the small end of the charger into the multipurpose jack of the device, and plug thelarge end of the charger into an electric socket.Connecting the charger improperly may cause serious damage to the device. Anydamage caused by misuse is not covered by the warranty.
