Basics39Using the power saving featurePower saving modeSave battery power by limiting the device’s functions.On the Apps screen, tap Settings Power saving Power saving mode, and then dragthe Power saving mode switch to the right. Alternatively, open the quick setting panel andtap Power saving to activate it.Select from the following options:r Restrict background data: Prevent apps that are running in the background from using amobile data connection.r Restrict performance: Limit various options, such as turning off the Recent apps andBack buttons’ backlight.r Greyscale mode: Display colours on the screen as grey tones.Ultra power saving modeUse this mode to extend the device’s battery power. In ultra power saving mode the deviceperforms the following:r Displays colours on the screen as grey tones.r Restricts the available apps to essential and selected apps only.r Deactivates the mobile data connection when the screen turns off.r Deactivates the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features.
