39 Voice ServiceAdapting Voice ServiceVoice Dialing is speaker independent, which means that no initialtraining or adaptation is required. Some users with heavy accents orunusual voice characteristics may encounter difficulty in achievinghigh accuracy with speaker independent Voice Dialing. The AdaptDigits feature allows users to dramatically improve the digit accuracythrough adaptation. Users who get acceptable digit recognitionaccuracy will gain no additional benefit performing the Adapt Digitadaptation.After you adapt Voice Service, your phone will be customized to yourvoice. Other people may not be able to use Voice Service on yourphone accurately unless they reset the phone to factory defaults.Note: ONLY adapt Voice Service if the system is frequently mis-recognizing your speech. You can always restore the system to itsoriginal factory setting.Adaptation involves recording several digit sequences to teach thesystem your voice.
