6Display screenIn standby mode, the display screen is comprised ofthree areas:•An upper line of stationary icons•The graphic area in the middle•The lower line showing the time and dateDisplay screen iconsThe top line of icons on the liquid crystal display (LCD)indicate the status of various functions and operationalmodes of the phone.Signal strength: Indicates the current signal strength.More lines indicate a greater signal strength.Service indicator: Indicates a call in progress.when you dial a number, this icon flashes until thecall connects.No service indicator: Indicates your phone can’t find asignal because you’re outside a service area or thesignal is blocked. You’ll have to wait until the serviceindicator reappears before making or receiving calls.Note: The no service indicator icon always appears uponpower-up. As soon as service is located, the indicatordisappears.Roaming: Indicates you are in roaming mode.Vibrate mode: Indicates that an incoming call will makethe phone vibrate rather than ring.High speed data: Indicates your phone is sending orreceiving data at a high speed.
