When abbreviateddialing is on, you can enter the last four or five digits of anyphone number that matches the five- or six-digit prefix, andthe number is dialed.To set up abbreviated dialing:1. Select Menu > Settings > Others > Call Setup > Abbrev. Dial.2. Select On or Off and press .3. Input the five- or six-digit prefix (for example, area codeand prefix) and press .Making an Abbreviated Dial CallTo make a call:1. Enter the last four or five digits of the prefix phonenumber.2. Abbrev. Dial is displayed in the lower left corner with theprefix digits displayed.3. Press to make the call.Note: If there is more than one Contacts entry that matches the lastfour or five digits, a list is displayed which allows you to selectthe desired number to call.
