To connect your phone to 4G network, you needaccess to a 4G base station.For more information about the availability of 4G in your location, visit sprint.com/coverage.Note: The availability and range of the 4G network depends on a number of factors includingyour distance to the 4G base station, and infrastructure and other objects through which thesignal passes.Turn 4G On and Connect to the 4G Network1. Press and tap > Settings > Connections.2. Tap More networks > Mobile networks > Network mode.3. Select LTE/CDMA or Automatic. The phone will scan for the 4G network and willautomatically connect to it.When your phone is connected to the 4G network, the 4G icon appears in the Statusbar and tells you the approximate signal strength (number of bands displayed).Note: The 4G network is self-discoverable, which means no additional steps are required foryour phone to connect to it.Check 4G Network Status1. Press and tap > Settings > General.2. Tap About device > Status.3. The Network, Signal strength, and IP address are displayed on the status screen.Your User NameWhen you buy your phone and sign up for service, you’re automatically assigned a user name,which is typically based on your name and a number, followed by “@sprintpcs.com.” (Forexample, the third John Smith to sign up for Sprint data services might havejsmith003@sprintpcs.com as his user name.)When you use data services, your user name is submitted to identify you network. Your username is automatically programmed into your phone. You don’t have to enter it.Update Your User NameIf you choose to change your user name and select a new one online, or make any changes toyour services, you must then update the profile on your phone.
