Different profiles can be usedfor specific Bluetooth functions. Headset Profile – Bluetooth technology connects thephone to a wireless Bluetooth-enabled headset. When anincoming call is received, the ringer can be heard throughthe headset instead of the handset. The call can then bereceived by pushing a button. While using the handset,you can use the headset instead of the phone by pushinga button on the headset, the same as inserting a jack intothe phone. Increase or decrease the volume by using thevolume key on the side of the handset. Hands-Free Profile –Bluetooth technology connects thephone to a wireless Bluetooth-enabled car kit. Calls canbe received by pressing a button on the headset or device.For dialing, four functions are supported: recent call dial,voice dial, speed dial, and number dial. Increase ordecrease the volume by using the volume key on the sideof the handset. DUN: Dial-Up Network Profile – Bluetooth technologyfunctions as a wireless data cable, connecting a PC or PDAto a network through your handset. BPP: Basic Printing Profile – Bluetooth technology functionsas a PictBridge printing connection to a printer from yourhandset. OPP: Object Push Profile – is based on the Generic ObjectExchange (OBEX) profile which uses predefined objectformats. The object formats are vcard, vcal, vmsg andvnote.
