When the PDP panelis operated for a long time with a fixed pattern .Phosphor degradation may occur and the brightness is decreased. To prevent this, the videopattern should be changed from time to time.When viewing a still screen for a long time, the brightness of any part which was bright inthe previous fixed pattern becomes lower than that of its surroundings.89
