20_ Washing a load of laundrywashing a load of laundryDETERGENT USEYour Washer is designed to use high efficiency (HE) detergents.• For best cleaning results, use a high efficiency detergents such asTide HE, Wisk HE, Cheer HE, or Gain HE*. High efficiency detergentscontain suds suppressors that reduce or eliminate suds. When fewersuds are produced, the load tumbles more efficiently and cleaning ismaximized.Regular detergent is NOT recommended. Please use HE detergentsonly.Reducing the amount of detergent may reduce the quality of cleaning. It is important to pre–treatstains, sort carefully by color and soil level, and avoid overloading.* Brand names are trademarks of their respective manufacturers.FEATURESAutomatic dispenserYour Washer has separate compartments for dispensingdetergent and color-safe bleach, chlorine bleach, andfabric softener. Add all laundry additives to their respectivecompartments before starting your Washer.The automatic dispenser MUST ALWAYS be in place beforeyou start your Washer.DO NOT open the automatic dispenser when your washer isrunning.To use:• Never exceed the manufacturer’s recommendations whenadding detergent.• This compartment holds liquid detergent for the main washcycle, which the washer adds to the load at the beginningof the cycle.Before using powdered detergent, remove the DetegentLiquid holder from the compartment. Powdereddetergent will not dispense from the Detegent Liquid holder.Detergent compartment1. Pour the recommended amount of laundry detergent directly into the detergent compartmentbefore starting your washer.2.
