Getting to know your instrumentThe wrist blood pressure monitor is used for non-inva-sive measurement and monitoring of adults‘ arterialblood pressure.You can use it to measure your blood pressure quicklyand easily, storing the results and displaying the pro-gression of readings. A warning is issued for anyonesuffering from cardiac arrhythmia.The values determined are classified and graphicallyevaluated according to WHO guidelines.Keep these instructions carefully for further use andalso let other users have access to them.2. Important informationAdvice on use• Always measure your blood pressure at the sametime of day, in order to ensure that values are com-parable.• Relax for approx. 5 minutes before each measure-ment.• You should wait five minutes before measuring asecond time.• The readings that you take may only be used forinformation purposes – they are not a substitute fora medical examination! Discuss your results with thedoctor. Never use them to make medical decisionsindependently (e.g. regarding medication and dosa-ge thereof).• If circulation on one arm is restricted as a result ofchronic or acute vascular disease (including vaso-constriction), the precision of any wrist measure-ment is impaired. In this case, use a blood pressuremonitor for the upper arm.• There may be incorrect measurements where thereis cardiocirculatory disease, as well as with very lowblood pressure, circulatory disorders, dysrhythmiaand other preexisting diseases.• Only use the instrument on persons whose wrist hasthe right circumference for the instrument.• You may only operate the blood pressure monitor withbatteries. Note that it is only possible to save datawhen your blood pressure monitor is receiving power.As soon as the batteries are dead, the date and time on
