-7-Maintenancereplacing the FiltersFilter prevents dust from accumulating on the optical elements inside the projector. Should the Filter becomeclogged with dust particles, it will reduce cooling fans’ effectiveness and may result in internal heat buildupand adversely affect the life of the projector. If a “Filter warning” icon appears on the screen, replace the Filterimmediately. Replace the filter by following the steps below.CAutION- Do not operate the projector with the filtersremoved. Dust may accumulate on the opticalelements degrading picture quality.- Do not put anything into the air vents. Doing somay result in malfunction of the projector.- Do not wash the filter with water or any otherliquid Matter. Otherwise the filter may bedamaged.reCOMMeNdAtIONWe recommend avoiding dusty/smoky environmentswhen you operate the projector. usage in theseenvironments may cause poor image quality.When using the projector under dusty or smoky conditions,dust may accumulate on a lens, LCD panels, or opticalelements inside the projector degrading the quality of aprojected image. When the symptoms above are noticed,contact your authorized dealer or service center for propercleaning.Be sure to reset the Filter counter after cleaning orreplacing the filters.Press the MENU button to display the On-ScreenMenu. Use the Point ed buttons to selectSetting and then press the Point 8 or the SELECTbutton.Use the Point ed buttons to select Filtercounter and then press the Point 8 or theSELECT button. Use the Point ed buttons toselect Filter counter reset and then press theSELECT button.
