EN1EnglishImportant informationSafetyEnsure that your domestic mains supply voltagematches the voltage indicated on the identificationsticker located at the back of your set. Where themains plug, AC inlet or an appliance coupler is usedas disconnect device, it shall remain readily operable.On certain models, the light indicator is located at theside of the TV set. The absence of a light indicationat the front does not mean that the TV set is fullydisconnected from the mains. To disconnect the TVset completely, the mains plug must be pulled out.The TV set’s components are sensitive to heat. Themaximum ambient temperature should not exceed35º Celsius. Do not cover the vents at the back orsides of the TV set. Leave sufficient space around it toallow adequate ventilation. Install the appliance awayfrom any source of heat (fireplace, etc.) or appliancescreating strong magnetic or electric fields.Moisture in rooms where the set is installed shouldnot exceed 75% humidity. Moving the set from a coldplace to a warm one can cause condensation on thescreen (and on some components inside the TV set).Let the condensation evaporate before switching theTV set on again.The or POWER/ button on the TV set or thebutton on the remote control can be used to switch iton and put it into standby mode. If you are not goingto be watching the TV for a lengthy period of time,switch it off completely by removing the plug from themains power socket.During thunderstorms, we recommend that youdisconnect the TV set from the mains and aerial sothat it is not affected by electrical or electromagneticsurges that could damage it. For this reason, keep themains and aerial sockets accessible so they can bedisconnected, if necessary.Unplug the TV set immediately if you notice it givingoff a smell of burning or smoke. You must never,under any circumstances, open the TV set yourself,as you run the risk of an electric shock in doing so.WARNINGSThis appliance is intended for domestic householduse only and should not be used for any otherapplication, such as for non-domestic use or in acommercial environment.If the external flexible cable or cord of this product isdamaged, it shall be replaced by the manufacturer orhis service agent or a similar qualified person in orderto avoid a hazard.Leave more than 10cm clearance around thetelevision to allow adequate ventilation. Theventilation should not be impeded by covering theventilation openings with items, such as newspapers,table-cloths, curtains, etc.The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping orsplashing and no objects filled with liquids, such asvases shall be placed on the apparatus.Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall notbe exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fireor the like.To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do notexpose this apparatus to rain or moisture.A television set may fall, causing serious personalinjury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children,can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as:• ALWAYS use cabinets or stands or mountingmethods recommended by the manufacturer of thetelevision set.• ALWAYS use furniture that can safely support thetelevision set.• ALWAYS ensure the television set is notoverhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.• ALWAYS educate children about the dangers ofclimbing on furniture to reach the television set or itscontrols.• ALWAYS route cords and cables connected to yourtelevision so they cannot be tripped over, pulled orgrabbed.• NEVER place a television set in an unstablelocation.• NEVER place the television set on tall furniture(for example, cupboards or bookcases) withoutanchoring both the furniture and the television set toa suitable support.• NEVER place the television set on cloth or othermaterials that may be located between the televisionset and supporting furniture.• NEVER place items that might tempt children toclimb, such as toys and remote controls, on the topof the television or furniture on which the televisionis placed.If the existing television set is going to be retainedand relocated, the same considerations as aboveshould be applied.Equipment with this symbol is a Class II ordouble insulated electrical appliance. It hasbeen designed in such a way that it doesnot require a safety connection to electricalearth.Equipment without this symbol is a Class Ielectrical appliance. It shall be connectedto a mains socket outlet with a protectiveearthing connection.To prevent the spread of fire, keep candlesor other open flames away from this productat all times. |
