2 – Features of the CD-RW75014 TASCAM CD-RW750 Owner’s ManualUse of the remote control unitWhen using the RC-RW750 remote control unit,make sure:• There is a clear unobstructed path between theremote control unit and the remote sensor 7 on themain unit.• The remote control unit is located within 5 m(15 ft.) of the main unit, and is pointing at approxi-mately right angles (±30°) to the front panel.When fitting or replacing the batteries:• Always make sure that both batteries are replacedtogether. Do not mix old and new batteries.• Do not mix batteries of different types.• Always make sure that the batteries are locatedwith the correct polarity (the positive terminals ofthe batteries should match the + markings insidethe battery compartment, and the negative termi-nals should match the – markings).• If you are not going to use the remote control unitfor an extended period of time, remove the batter-ies. Old batteries can leak, casing damage to theremote control unit.• Always dispose of old batteries in the way recom-mended by your local garbage disposal authorities.ConnectionsThe following should be noted when you connect theunit to other equipment.It is possible to connect the unit’s DIGITALCOAXIAL IN P and DIGITAL OPTICAL IN Q toother equipment at the same time. However, the unitcan receive signals from only one digital input at atime.Audio signals output from the unit are output fromthe analog ANALOG OUT O jacks, as well as fromthe DIGITAL COAXIAL OUT jack P and DIGITALOPTICAL OUT connector Q simultaneously (but notfrom the digital outputs in stop mode).Using the timer functionYou can set the CD-RW750 to start playback when itis switched on (for example, from an external timer).To do this, slide the TIMER switch C to the PLAYposition.When the unit is turned on it will start playing fromthe start of the loaded disc.
