The main settings are introducedbelow. For a detailed explanation and informationabout other settings, please see “System settings” inthe Owner’s Manual.To display the System Settings Menu, press theMENU key to open the Main Menu, and then usethe SHUTTLE/DATA wheel to select SystemSettings and press the ENTER key. Alternatively,press and hold the MENU key (SHIFT key) and pressthe TIME key.With the System Settings Menu open, use theSHUTTLE/DATA wheel to select and set the variousitems.Select the Metering item and press the ENTER keyto open the following submenu. From this screen, settings can be made for the holdtime for the overload indicators that occur whenthe meters clip, the meter decay speed, the meterpeak decay speed, and the threshold level for meteroverload indication.For details, see “System settings” in the Owner’sManual.Select the Resume item and press the ENTER key toturn the Resume mode ON and OFF.When ON, the unit remembers the playback positionwhen the STOP key was pushed, and the next to timeplayback is started, it continues from that position.This setting is effective even if the power is turnedOFF, so when the power it turned ON again andplayback restarts, it will play from the same position.Select the Shuttle Mode item and press theENTER key to set the transport control mode of theSHUTTLE/DATA wheel.At the default setting, use of the wheel skips betweentrack start points and markers, but it can also be setto skip in units of hours, minutes, seconds or 1/100seconds.Select the Ref Level item and press the ENTERkey to set the analog reference level. The referencelevel shows the relationship between the digital audiolevel (dBFS) and the analog reference level (dBu). Setthis to suit your audio system.Select the Adjust Contrast item and pressthe ENTER key. Then, use the SHUTTLE/DATA wheelto adjust the display contrast. The adjusted contrastsetting is retained even if the power is turned OFF.In addition, the contrast adjustment screen can beopened directly by pressing the CANCEL key whilepressing and holding the MENU key (SHIFT key) whenthe Home Screen is open. After adjusting, press theCANCEL key or MENU key (SHIFT key).
