The TM-D4000A comes with slots 2 and3 filled with IF-LP4000s. The meter bridge (MU-4000)is also optional, and comes with the associated cablesand brackets for mounting on the TM-D4000.The first 8 channels of the TM-D4000 are dedicated toanalog input, providing 8 mic preamps and balanced TRSinputs with insert points. The remaining 24 channels areconfigured with I/O cards in 8 channel blocks with the3 card slots in the back panel. Cards are available foranalog, TDIF, Lightpipe, or AES/EBU I/O formats.IF-TD4000 & IF-LP4000 - The TDIF and Lightpipecards offer extremely cost effective connections betweenthe TM-D4000 and TDIF equipped devices. TheIF-TD4000 is the TDIF card, and the IF-LP4000 is theLightpipe card.In addition to the audio I/O, these cards also offerremote control port for their associated machines. (TheTDIF card includes a DTRS Remote port, and the Lightpipecard includes an ADAT Remote port.) The TM-D4000 canthen act as a powerful remote control for these recorders. The large time code display on the front panel of theTM-D4000 will also be able to display tape location fromthe remote port.IF-AN4000 - The analog card employs 24 bit A/D andD/A converters, and is accessed through two DB25breakout connectors. Standard breakout connectors usedfor connecting DTRS machines like the DA-88 to an analogare ideal for connecting balanced analog equipment intothe TM-D4000.IF-AE4000 - The AES/EBU card offers 24 bit AES/EBUinput and output through a single DB25 connector. It isimportant to keep in mind that AES/EBU cables going fromDB25 to DB25 are pinned out differently than an analogcable of the same configuration. (The TDIF cable is alsoconfigured differently.) We have included specificCableUp part numbers to help make sure you order theproper cables.Cascading the TM-D4000 - Dedicated cascade ports arebuilt in to the TM-D4000, allowing up to 4 mixers to beconnected without giving up any I/O slots. Master L/R mix,aux sends, and busses can be selectively cascaded on anindividual basis. All that is needed is the PW/4000CS cableto link the mixers. For users looking to automate cascaded mixers, it shouldbe noted that the automation software only addresses onemixer. Multiple mixers will require multiple computers forautomation.Analog DB25 to XLR MaleAnalog DB25 to XLR FemaleAnalog DB25 to TRSAnalog DB25 to DB25TDIF CableDTRS Remote CableLightpipe CableADAT Remote CableAES/EBU DB25 to XLR 4M/4FAES/EBU DB25 to DB25TM-D4000 Cascade CableCU/SD203CU/SD205CU/SD303CU/SD305CU/SD403CU/SD405CU/SD103CU/SD105CU/PW88DMCU/PW88DLCU/PW848CU/PW848LCU/ADOP06CU/ADOP16CU/ADCS15CU/AES825CU/AES2510CU/AES2516PW/4000CS10'16'10'16'10'16'10'16'10'16'16'33'6'16'15'26'10'16'CableUp Cable Model NumbersI/O OPTION SLOTSIF-AN4000 (Analog)IF-TD4000 (TDIF & DTRS Sync)IF-LP4000 (Lightpipe)IF-AE4000 (AES/EBU)
