8[When you are suspicious of a failure]Trouble Cause CountermeasureStart-up failure(Start-up disabled,chattering caused,etc.)[1] Ambient temperature is too low. Have the equipment accustomed to the temperatureof the room, etc. If the start-up instability still persists,try to start-up with the suction port closed andcontinue the warm-up operation for about 5 minutes.[2] Inadequate power source environment(Voltage or power degradation due touse of thin extension cord or too manyloads on one electrical outlet, etc.)Never use power from an electrical outlet with toomany loads on. Use an extension cord with wirediameter of 2.0 sq or larger and with length of 10 mor shorter.If the start-up instability still persists, try to start-upwith the suction port closed and continue thewarm-up operation for about 5 minutes.[3] Failure caused by the residualpressure of the air conditioning systemincreasing the internal pressure of thepump.Surrender the pump for inspection and repair.[4] Pump lock or motor failure due tofalling or other strong impact thereon.Surrender the pump for inspection and repair.Insufficient degree ofvacuum[1] System leakage Repair the leakage of the piping, etc. of the airconditioning system and then connect it with thevacuum pump.[2] Poor sealing of charge hose or jointsectionConfirm the status of deterioration of the charge hoseor packings, etc. and provide a replacement for anydefective part if any.[3] Gas ballast valve is opened. Close the gas ballast valve.[4] Oil is contaminated. Change oil.[5] Oil quantity is inappropriate. Adjust to an appropriate oil level.[6] Interfusion of foreign material intopumpChange oil or surrender the pump for inspection andrepair.[7] Failure caused by the residualpressure of the air conditioning systemincreasing the internal pressure of thepump.Surrender the pump for inspection and repair.[8] Pump or motor failure due to falling orother strong impact thereon.Surrender the pump for inspection and repair.[9] Pump part attrition Surrender the pump for inspection and repair.Oil mist dischargedfrom exhaust muffler[1] It is normal when air is being sucked in.[2] Interfusion of foreign material intosuction valveOperate for a given length of time and if mist isdischarged intensively even after the objectequipment has reached vacuum status, surrenderthe pump for inspection and repair.Oil leakage [1] Residual pressure of the airconditioning system increasing theinternal pressure of the pumpConfirm that there is no residual pressure in the airconditioning system and then connect it with thevacuum pump.[2] Exhaust muffler leakage due to fallingsidewaysUse and store the equipment in upright position.[3] Loosening of oil drain screws Tighten the drain screws further up.[4] Inappropriate oil level Adjust to an appropriate oil level.[5] Defective sealing Surrender the pump for inspection and repair.Abnormal noise/abnormal odor[1] Motor or pump failure Surrender the pump for inspection and repair.If abnormality persists even after the above has been confirmed, or if any other abnormality has been felt, stop the useimmediately and bring the equipment to the dealer where it was purchased. |
