This shouldbe fitted in the cab in a suitableposition that is convenient to theoperator on a smooth, clean, dustfree surface. (i.e. the window.)ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONSTO THE CONTROL SYSTEMTo tractor in-cab 12V supplyTHE BLUETOOTHCONNECTIONOnce the Bluetooth light has stoppedflashing and is illuminated you are ready toproceed. If it does not stop flashing thenit has failed to make a connection and thecontrol desk will not turn on.PAIRING A CONTROL DESK TO A MACHINEShould the control desk fail to connect to the machine, thenpress the “ON” and “OFF” buttons & together for 2seconds. This will make the control desk search for the Bluetoothsignal from the Tomahawk.COMMISSIONINGWith the bale chamber empty, engage the PTO at low revs, thenincrease to normal working speed (540rpm) and start the oilflow to the Tomahawk. Press the “power on” button when theBluetooth light is illuminated. Check chute rotation, deflectorand tailgate functions work.TOMAHAWKINSTALLATION GUIDE1BED CHAINPress the forward button to start the bed chain. If thebed chain is set to ‘0’ the bed should be stationary. The bedcan be stopped by either pressing the forward or reversebutton . You can reverse the bed chain by holding thereverse button down.BED CHAIN SPEEDThe bed chain speed can be adjusted by turning the dialfrom ‘0’ to ‘10’. If the bed is rotating when the dial is set to ‘0’,then you need to re-calibrate the bed speed. See over pagefor details.2 34561• Connect the control desk powersupply lead into the 12V female Cobosocket in the tractor cab.• Connect the Tomahawk power supplylead to the 12V female Cobo socket onthe flying lead connected to the controldesk.• If in doubt, listen for a “click” from thejunction box under the cover at thefront of the Tomahawk, which tells youit has power.• If the supply cable is connected withthe wrong polarity the control box willnot switch on.1 21
