Remote Star tingRemote Start er Functions1.Press and release the button.2.The park lights will flash and the horn (optional) will honk one time.3.The vehicle will then remote start. The park lights will flash four times thenremain on while the vehicle is running*.Note: If the remote starter fails to start, the park lights will flash a TroubleShooting Code. Count the number of flashes and refer to theDiagnostics Chart on page 10.Never remote start if the vehicle is parked in a garage or attachedcarport! Operate in a well ventilated area only.Remote Stop1.Press and hold the button for three seconds. The remote starter willshut down. The park lights will flash and the horn (optional) will honk 2times to confirm shutdown.Note: Pressing the brake pedal or opening the hood will also shut downthe remote starter.Idle Mode1.While the vehicle is running with key, press the button.2.The park lights will turn on and the horn (optional) will honk once.3.Turn the ignition key off and the vehicle will continue to run for theprogrammed run time.*Extended Run Time1.Press and release the button while the vehicle is running.2.The system will respond with one park light flash and one horn honk(optional) to confirm Extended Runtime.
