Use a damp clothfor cleaning.6 AttachmentsDo not use attachments not recommended by the productmanufacturer as they may cause hazards.7 Water and MoistureDo not use this product near water — for example, near a bathtub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement,or near a swimming pool, and the like.8 AccessoriesDo not place this product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod,bracket, or table. The product may fall, causing serious injuryto a child or adult, and serious damage to the product. Useonly with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table recommendedby the manufacturer, or sold with the product. Any mounting ofthe product should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, andshould use a mounting accessory recommended by the manu-facturer.9 A product and cart combination should be moved with care.Quick stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces maycause the product and cart combination to overturn.11 Power SourcesThis product should be operated only from the type of powersource indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure ofthe type of power supply to your home, consult your productdealer or local power company. For products intended to op-erate from battery power, or other sources, refer to the operat-ing instructions.12 Grounding or PolarizationThis video product is equipped with a 3-wire grounding-typeplug, a plug having a third (grounding) pin. This plug will onlyfit into a grounding-type power outlet. This is safety feature. Ifyou are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact yourelectrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat thesafety purpose of the grounding-type plug.13 Power-Cord ProtectionPower-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likelyto be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or againstthem, paying particular attention to cords at plugs, conven-ience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the prod-uct.14 LightningFor added protection for this product during a lightning storm,or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods oftime, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antennaor cable system. This will prevent damage to the product dueto lightning and power-line surges.15 OverloadingDo not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral con-venience receptacles as this can result in fire risk or electricshock.16 Object and Liquid EntryNever push objects of any kind into this product through open-ings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-outparts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spillliquid of any kind on the product.17 ServicingDo not attempt to service this product yourself as opening orremoving covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or otherhazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.18 Damage Requiring ServiceUnplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing toqualified service personnel under the following conditions:(a) When the power-supply cord or plug is damaged.(b) If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into theproduct.(c) If the product has been exposed to rain or water.(d) If the product does not operate normally by following theoperating instructions. Adjust only those controls that arecovered by the operating instructions as an improper ad-justment of other controls may result in damage and willoften require extensive work by a qualified technician torestore the product to its normal operation.(e) If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way.(f) When the product exhibits a distinct change in perform-ance – this indicates a need for service.10 VentilationSlots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilationand to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect itfrom overheating, and these openings must not be blocked orcovered. The openings should never be blocked by placingthe product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface. Thisproduct should not be placed in a built-in installation such as abookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or themanufacturer’s instructions have been adhered to.ii
