In the watch modes, the radio briefly checksfor activity on a specific channel, then returns to its previousoperation.Watch mode What it does To turn it on/offWeather AlertWatchChecks the last-usedweather channel for hazardalerts every 7 seconds.Press and hold WXALERT for 2 seconds.Triple Watch Checks channels 16 and 9for activity every 2 seconds.Press and hold 16/9-Trifor 2 seconds.# Note: Private boats must monitor channel 16 whenever theyare underway. Water-going vessels should have Triple Watchon at all times.NORMAL MODE OPERATIONx To transmit, remove the radio from the charger, then pressand hold the Push to Talk key.
