4-49Change the synchronization scheduleUsing ActiveSync, you can schedule synchronization of your device ontwo separate schedules. Use the peak times schedule to synchronizeduring working hours or other times you experience higher mail volumes.Use the off-peak schedule to synchronize during times when youexperience lower mail volumes. When you are roaming, you cansynchronize manually to reduce roaming charges, or you can synchronizeusing the mobile schedules.1. In ActiveSync on the device, tap Tools > Options > Mobile Scheduletab.2. To synchronize periodically during peak times, select the frequency ofsynchronization in the During peak times, sync list. For moreinformation about synchronizing when items arrive, see Synchronizeautomatically.3. To synchronize periodically during off-peak times, select the frequencyof synchronization in the During off-peak times, sync list.4. To synchronize while roaming, select a frequency in the Whenroaming, sync list.The power-off timer is reset each time the device synchronizes.
