RP901 User ManualChapter 5 – Updating Firmware5.1 Entering Firmware Update ModeUnder normal circumstances, the RP901 boots into the Normal OperationMode. The following steps will move the RP901 to Firmware Update Mode andconnect it to the Host PC’s RFID Utility to facilitate firmware upgrade throughUSB Virtual COM communication. Steps are as following:Step1:Make sure that the RP901 is disconnected from the Host PC.Connect the RP901 to the Host PC using the Micro USB Cable.Step 2:Press the Function button and the Trigger button on the RP901 simultaneously.Hold both buttons, do not release, and use a pin or a straightened paperclip topress the Reset button on the bottom.
