5 Troubleshooting14 Operating instructions aroSTOR 0020285064_005 Troubleshooting5.1 Detecting and rectifying faultsThis section shows all of the fault mes-sages that can be rectified without seekinghelp from the competent person in order tostart up the product again.Troubleshooting (→ Page 16)▶ Ensure that the product generally workswithout any problems and that no faultmessages or alarms are displayed.▶ If the product still does not function afterthe fault has been rectified, contact yourcompetent person.6 Maintenance and care6.1 MaintenanceAn annual inspection and maintenanceof the product carried out by a compet-ent person is a prerequisite for ensuringthat the product is permanently ready andsafe for operation, reliable, and has a longworking life.6.2 Caring for the product▶ Clean the casing with a damp cloth anda little solvent-free soap.▶ Do not use sprays, scouring agents,detergents, solvents or cleaning agentsthat contain chlorine.6.3 Checking the condensatedischarge pipe and tundishThe condensate discharge pipe and tun-dish must always be penetrable.▶ Regularly check the condensate dis-charge pipe and tundish for faults and,particularly, for blockages.You must not be able to see or feel anyobstructions in the condensate dischargepipe and tundish.▶ If you notice a fault, have it eliminatedby a competent person.7 Decommissioning7.1 Temporarily decommissioningthe product▶ If, during long periods of absence, thepower supply to the dwelling and to theproduct is interrupted, have the productdrained by your competent person orhave it sufficiently protected againstfrost.7.2 Permanently decommissioningthe product▶ Have a competent person permanentlydecommission the product.8 Recycling and disposal▶ The competent person who installedyour product is responsible for the dis-posal of the packaging.If the product is labelled with thismark:▶ In this case, do not dispose of theproduct with the household waste.▶ Instead, hand in the product to a collec-tion centre for waste electrical or elec-tronic equipment.If the product contains batteries thatare labelled with this mark, these batteriesmay contain substances that are hazard-ous to human health and the environment.▶ In this case, dispose of the batteries ata collection point for batteries.
