The system ownerwill be granted a warranty in accordance with theVaillant terms and conditions. All requests for work dur-ing the guarantee period must be made to VaillantService Solutions (0870 6060 777).3.2 Intended useThe ecoLEVEL condensate pump may only be used inconnection Vaillant system components, in which con-densate accumulates as a byproduct. This includes allVaillant condensing gas heating appliances. The pump, and all of its components, are designed forthe removal of condensate from condensing boilers. Theintake of rainwater into the system through the exhausthas been taken into consideration. This also applies forthe permissible amount, as well as the composition andquantity of solid particles in the condensate. The condensate pump is not suitable for the extractionof other liquids or solid media. In particular, any type ofwaste water, chemicals, or oil-bearing emulsions may notbe fed into the condensate pump.Any use other than those which are outlined here, espe-cially the extraction of non-approved media, is consid-ered improper. The manufacturer or supplier is not liablefor any damage resulting from improper use. The useralone bears any risk.Intended use includes the observance of operating, installation, and maintenance manuals.Caution!Any improper use is forbidden.3.3 CareClean the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use anycaustic cleaning agents!3.4 Recycling and disposalBoth the pump and its packaging are primarily made ofrecyclable raw materials.ApplianceNeither the pump, or any of its accessories belong in thehousehold waste. Make sure the old appliance and anyrelated accessories are disposed of properly.PackagingPlease leave the disposal of the transport packaging tothe technician who installed the appliance.4 Operation and maintenance4.1 General informationThe ecoLEVEL condensate pump is used for the extrac-tion of condensate which accumulates in condensingboilers. The condensate generated by boiler flowsthrough a feed hose and into the pump‘s reservoir. The condensate level is constantly monitored, and whenit reaches maximum capacity the pump switches onautomatically and pumps the condensate out through adischarge hose. The ecoLEVEL condensate pump is equipped with anoverflow safety switch. If there is a malfunction, thesafety switch (when properly connected) automaticallyswitches off the boiler to prevent condensate from over-flowing.Note!Once the pump has been installed and put intoservice, operation is self-regulating and doesnot require further attendance.4.2 Display of operating statusOn the front edge of the housing there are two integrat-ed diodes which indicate the operating status of theecoLEVEL condensate pump. When the pump is provided with a 230 V power supply, the green LED is illuminated. This indicates that thepump is ready for operation. The red LED indicates that the condensate level hasexceeded the highest permissible limit, and that theoverflow safety switch has been activated. If the required connection to the boiler has beeninstalled, it will be switched off in order to prevent fur-ther accumulation of condensate.Note! If the red LED lights up or flashes for a lengthyperiod, there is a fault in the installation or adefect in the pump.Contact a qualified heating engineer to inspectthe pump and restore operation.4.3 MaintenanceHave the ecoLEVEL condensate pump inspected andcleaned by a qualified heating engineer at least onceevery two years.
