Remove these from thesiphon (2, fig. 7.4) and leave the clips and con-nection elbow on the primary heat exchanger.7.2.3 Cleaning the condensate paths and siphon12Fig. 7.4 Cleaning the condensate paths (1)To clean the condensate paths, the condensate hose can bedismounted from the primary heat exchanger (1, fig. 7.4)and the complete condensate siphon (2) dismounted. Thenboth can be cleaned in a disassembled state.Observe also the siphon installation instructions provided.d Danger! If the appliance is operated with an empty con-densate siphon, there is the danger of poisoningthrough escaping flue gases. Therefore, refillthe siphon after each cleaning.• Remove the condensate water trap beneath the appli-ance and clean it.• Remove the clips beneath the primary heat exchangerand pull off the connection elbow.• Remove the siphon and the corrugated pipe (considerthe position of the latches).• Clean the components.a Caution!Make sure that no spray water comes into con-tact with other components. If it does, damagemay be caused. After cleaning, reinstall all condensate path components(see siphon operating instructions). Make sure you fillthe condensate siphon with water. Fit new seals at all lo-cations and test the condensate path for leakage.11/32/3b.c.a.835311_00 102004ecoTEC123Fig. 7.5 Cleaning the siphon (2)7.2.4 Checking the burnerThe burner is maintenance-free and needs no cleaning. The surface should be checked for damage, and theburner replaced if necessary.• After checking/replacing the burner, install the com-pact thermo module as described in 7.2.1.7 Inspection and maintenance
