4 Product description8 Operating instructions flexoTHERM 0020213396_00– With air heat source: Air/brine col-lector(s)– With well water heat source: Groundwa-ter moduleThere is an opportunity for active coolingto take place via circulation reversal for theheat sources air, ground and groundwater.4 Product description4.1 CE labelThe CE label shows that the productscomply with the basic requirements of theapplicable directives as stated on the iden-tification plate. The declaration of conformity can beviewed at the manufacturer's site.4.2 Safety devices4.2.1 Frost protection functionThe frost protection function for the systemis controlled via the system controller. Ifthe system controller fails, the heat pumpguarantees limited frost protection for theheating circuit.4.2.2 Protection against low heatingwater pressureThis function continuously monitors thepressure of the heating water in order toprevent a possible loss of heating water.4.2.3 Brine loss protection systemThe brine loss protection system continu-ously monitors the fluid pressure in theenvironment circuit in order to prevent apossible shortage of fluid.4.2.4 Freeze protectionThis function prevents the evaporator fromfreezing when the heat source temperat-ure drops below a certain value. The outlet temperature of the heat sourceis constantly measured. If the outlet tem-perature of the heat source falls below acertain value, the compressor temporarilyswitches off and displays a status mes-sage. If this fault occurs three times in arow, it is switched off and a fault messageis displayed.4.2.5 Pump- and valve-blockingprotection systemThis function prevents the pumps for heat-ing water and brine and all diverter valvesfrom sticking. The pumps and the valves, which were out of operation for 23 hours, are switched on for 10 - 20 seconds, oneafter the other.4.2.6 High-pressure pressure switchin the refrigeration circuitThe high-pressure pressure switch shutsdown the heat pump if the pressure in thecoolant circuit is too high. If the pressurein the heat pump's refrigeration circuit ex-ceeds the maximum pressure, the high-pressure pressure switch temporarily shutsdown the heat pump. Following a waitingperiod, another attempt is made to startthe heat pump. After three failed start at-tempts in succession, a fault message isdisplayed.– Refrigeration circuit pressure max.: 4.60MPa (g) (46.00 bar (g))– Waiting period: 5 minutes (after the firstoccurrence)– Waiting period: 30 minutes(after the second and every further oc-currence)The fault counter is reset if both of thefollowing conditions are met:– Heat requirement without switching offprematurely– 60 minutes of uninterrupted operation
