15. There is a length of self adhesivefoam seal supplied with the fire. This willneed to be fitted to the outer rear edgesof the side and top flanges of the hotbox.Cut a 485mm length of foam seal. Becareful not to stretch the seal whenmeasuring. Remove the protectivebacking from the foam seal and fit this tothe rear of the top flange (See figure 16).Cut two 580mm lengths. Fit these to therear outer edges of the side flanges.Ensure that there is no gap between thefoam seals where they meet at the topflange (See figure 16).9. HOTBOX INSTALLATION9.1 Method 1 - Front fixing to fireplace surround.1. Make sure that the fireplace front surround area is sound enough to take the fibre /wooden plugs and woodscrews. If necessary, make sound with suitable cement.2. Place the hotbox centrally in the fireplace in the position in which it is to bepermanently installed. If a concealed connection is being used, insert the hotbox intothe fireplace feeding the supply pipe through the pierced hole in the rear grommet.3. Mark the fireplace front surround through the four fixing holes in the side flanges ofthe hotbox (See figure 17).4. Remove the hotbox. Drill four holes in thefireplace front surround at the markedpositions using a suitably sized masonry drillfor the fibre / wooden plugs supplied.5. Insert a fibre / wooden plug into each hole.6. Place the hotbox back in position in thefireplace.7. Fit a woodscrew through each hole in thehotbox flanges and tighten to seal the box tothe fireplace surround.INSTALLER GUIDEFigure 17.
