Navigation 73■ This is the first navigation use afterthe map data is updated.■ The 12-volt battery is disconnectedfor several days.■ The vehicle is driving in heavytraffic where driving is at lowspeeds and the vehicle is stoppedand started repeatedly.Problems with routeguidanceInappropriate route guidance canoccur under one or more of thefollowing conditions:■ The turn was not made on the roadindicated.■ Route guidance might not beavailable when using automaticrerouting for the next right or leftturn.■ The route might not be changedwhen using automatic rerouting.■ There is no route guidance whenturning at an intersection.■ Plural names of places might beannounced occasionally.■ It could take a long time to operateautomatic rerouting during high-speed driving.■ Automatic rerouting might display aroute returning to the set waypointif heading for a destination withoutpassing through a set waypoint.■ The route prohibits the entry of avehicle due to a regulation by timeor season or any other regulationwhich may be given.■ Some routes might not besearched.■ The route to the destination mightnot be shown if there are newroads, if roads have recentlychanged, or if certain roads are notlisted in the map data. Maps 3 54.To recalibrate the vehicle's positionon the map, park the vehicle with theengine running for two to five minutes,until the vehicle position updates.Service of the navigationsystemIf the navigation system needsservice and the steps listed here havebeen followed but there are stillproblems, see your dealer forassistance.Obtaining navigation CDs/DVDsThe map data in the vehicle is themost up-to-date information availablewhen the vehicle was produced.
