Driving and operating 137Cruise controlThe cruise control can store andmaintain speeds of approx.30 to 200 km/h (20 to 120 mph).Deviations from the stored speedsmay occur when driving uphill ordownhill. For safety reasons the cruise controlcannot be activated until the footbrake has been operated once.Do not use the cruise control if it is notadvisable to maintain a constantspeed. With automatic transmission, onlyactivate cruise control in automaticmode.Control indicator m 3 88.ActivationPress rocker switch m down, controlindicator m illuminates. Accelerate tothe desired speed and turn thumbwheel to RES/+ or SET/-, the currentspeed is stored and maintained.Accelerator pedal can be released.Vehicle speed can be increased bydepressing the accelerator pedal. When the accelerator pedal isreleased, the previously stored speedis resumed. The speed cannot be accelerated byturning the thumb wheel to SET/-while first gear is selected.Increase speedWith cruise control active, hold thumbwheel turned to RES/+ or briefly turnto RES/+ repeatedly: speedincreases continuously or in smallincrements.Alternatively accelerate to the desiredspeed and store by turning to RES/+.Reduce speedWith cruise control active, hold thumbwheel turned to SET/- or briefly turnto SET/- repeatedly: speeddecreases continuously or in smallincrements.DeactivationPress rocker switch m up, controlindicator m goes out. Cruise control isdeactivated.Automatic deactivation:■ vehicle speed below approx.30 km/h (20 mph),■ the brake pedal is depressed,■ the clutch pedal is depressed,■ selector lever in N,■ the Traction Control system orElectronic Stability Control isoperating.Resume stored speedTurn thumb wheel to RES/+ ata speed above 30 km/h (20 mph). Thestored speed will be obtained.Ofrecido por www.electromanuales.com
