Fully rem ove bolt 2, then pull thecarrier to the left, until it clears bolt 1, andlower the carrier assem bly.When installing the wheel, ensure that thespare wheel carrier is correctly positionedbefore tightening the b olts.Genera l informa tionIf y ou use winter tyres 3, the spare wheelmay still be fitted with a summer tyre.If y ou use the spare wheel when it is fittedwith a summer tyre, the v ehicle'sdriveability may be affected, espec ia lly onslip pery roa d surfaces.O btain a replacem ent for the faulty tyre assoon a s possib le, and have the wheelbalanced and fitted to the v ehicle.Wheel changingIn order to reduce the chance of possibleinjuries, m ake the following prepa ra tionsand note the procedure:z Park on a level, firm a nd non-slipperysurface.z Sw itch on haz ard warning lights a ndapply handbrake.
