6 MountingInstallation positionThe instruments function in any installation position. But the installationposition can influence the measurement, depending on the measuringsystem. This can be compensated by a position correction. It is useful to select an installation position you can easily reach for mount-ing and connecting as well as later retrofitting of an display and adjustmentmodule. For this purpose, the housing can be rotated by 330° without theuse of any tools. You can also install the indicating and adjustment modulein four different positions (each displaced by 90°).Mounting examples and measurement setupsThe following illustrations show mounting examples and measurementsetups.Process pressure measurementThe VEGABAR measures the pressure in a pipeline.Fig. 12: Process pressure measurement on a pipeline with VEGABARLevel measurementThe VEGABAR measures the level in a vessel.Fig. 14: Level measurement in a vessel with VEGABARDifferential pressure measurementThe VEGABAR measures the pressure difference between input andoutput of a filter.Fig. 16: Differential pressure measurement on a filter with VEGABAR and SlavesensorFlow measurementThe VEGABAR measures the flow via the pressure difference betweenthe front and back sides of an orifice plate.Fig. 18: Flow measurement through an orifice with VEGABAR and a Slave sensorDensity measurementVEGABAR measures the density of the medium in a vessel.hFig. 20: Density measurement on a vessel with VEGABAR and Slave sensorInterface measurementVEGABAR measures the interface of two liquids in a vessel.hFig. 22: Interface measurement on a vessel with VEGABAR and Slave sensorMounting8 Process pressure – Pressure transmitter45078-EN-140625
