245 Connecting to power supplyVEGABAR 82 • Slave sensor for electronic differential pressure48046-EN-1407025 Connecting to power supply5.1 Preparing the connectionAlways keep in mind the following safety instructions:Warning:Connect only in the complete absence of line voltage.• The electrical connection must only be carried out by trainedpersonnel authorised by the plant operator.• Generally connect the instrument that connecting and disconnect-ing is possible in idle state.• If overvoltage surges are expected, overvoltage arresters shouldbe installed.The voltage supply and the signal transmission are carried out via thefour-wire, screened connection cable from the master sensor.You can find the data for this signal circuit in chapter "Technical data".With plastic housing, the NPT cable gland or the Conduit steel tubemust be screwed without grease into the threaded insert.Max. torque for all housings see chapter "Technical data".5.2 ConnectingThe connection to the Master sensor is carried out via spring-loadedterminals in the housing.Information:The terminal block is pluggable and can be removed from theelectronics. To do this, lift the terminal block with a small screwdriverand pull it out. When reinserting the terminal block, you should hear itsnap in.Proceed as follows:1. Unscrew the housing cover2. Loosen compression nut of the cable entry gland3. Remove approx. 10 cm (4 in) of the cable mantle, strip approx.1 cm (0.4 in) insulation from the individual wires or use suppliedconnection cable4.
