With the potentiometer you can adapt the switching point to thesolid. It is already preset and must only be modified in specialcases. As a default setting, the potentiometer of VEGAVIB 62 is set tothe complete right position (>0.3 g/cm³/0.011 lbs/in³). In verylight solids you have to turn the potentiometer to the completeleft position (0.02 … 0.1 g/cm³ or 0.0007 … 0.0036 lbs/in³). Bydoing this, VEGAVIB 62 will be more sensitive and light solidscan be detected more reliably. For instruments detecting solids in water, these values are notapplicable. The potentiometer is preset and must not bechanged. With the mode adjustment (min./max.) you can change theswitching condition of the relay. You can set the required modeaccording to the "Function chart" (max. - max. detection oroverfill protection, min. - min. detection or dry run protection). We recommend connecting according to the quiescent currentprinciple (replay contact deenergizes when reaching theswitching point), because the relay takes on the same (safe)condition if a failure is detected.Control lamp for indication of the switching condition.l green = relay energizedl red = relay deenergizedl red (flashing) = failure6.3 Function chartThe following chart provides an overview of the switchingconditions depending on the adjusted mode and level.Level Switching sta-tusControl lampMode max.Overfill protection53 4(8)(6) (7)Relay energized GreenMode max.Overfill protection53 4(8)(6) (7)Relay deener-gizedredSwitching point adaptation (1)Mode adjustment (2)Signal lamp (5)VEGAVIB 62 - - double relay (DPDT) 19Setup29271-EN-070116
