7 Maintenance and fault rectification7.1 MaintenanceIf the instrument is used properly, no special maintenance is requiredin normal operation.7.2 Remove interferencesThe operator of the system is responsible for taking suitable measuresto rectify faults.VEGAWAVE 63 offers maximum reliability. Nevertheless, faults canoccur during operation. These may be caused by the following, e.g.:l Sensorl Processl Voltage supplyl Signal processingThe first measure to be taken is to check the output signal. If the instrument then changesthe mode, the vibrating element may be covered withbuildup or mechanically damaged. Should the switchingfunction in the correct mode still be faulty, return theinstrument for repair.Press the mode switch. If the instrument then does notchange the mode, the electronics module may bedefective.
